The Boynton House

Despite bad weather reports, today turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day.  So the first thing that Daniel and I did this morning was take a walk.  We decided that we needed to purchase some beer, since Matt and Jessica are celebrating the one year anniversary of the store by throwing a little party tonight at their house.  We proceeded to walk over to the East Ave Wegman’s.  Usually, if we are walking to Wegman’s from our apartment, we just walk all the way to the end of Park Avenue, which ends at East Avenue.  However, today I was feeling adventurous.  I decided that we would cross Park Ave and go down East Boulevard to get to East Avenue.  What a good decision this turned out to be.

You see, Daniel and I have lived in this neighborhood for over a year now, but once in a while we still discover some very cool things.  Today, we found a house designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1908.  It is currently undergoing some restoration, but it still  looked awesome.  It is called the Boynton House.  Daniel was very excited about it because he loves Art Deco design.

It doesn't exactly match the design of the other houses in the neighborhood...

The Boynton House.

It was difficult to capture all of the angles. But it is a beautiful house.

I loved all of the windows.

From the back of the house.

From what I’ve seen around the internet, it sounds like it is still a private residence.  I am quite jealous of whoever was able to snag this when it was on the market last year.
